Seminars

Selection of seminar series

  • On a monthly basis, the POLiS Seminar is taking place virtually or in a onsite/online hybrid format. Speakers from industry and academia give presentations on battery related topics with a focus on post-lithium batteries.
This seminar series is co-organized by the doctoral researchers of the GS-EES. They give presentations, propose speakers and there are special Q&A sessions for doctoral researchers only after the talks.
  • The HIU (Helmholtz Institute Ulm) seminar is also happening on a regular basis, usually in a hybrid format, offering a broad variety of battery topics. Dates are announced individually.
  • Battery 2030+, a large scale, longterm European research initiative, also offers Excellence Seminars with high-ranking speakers from all over the world. An overview of upcoming events of Battery 2030+ can be found here.
  • Widening the scope beyond electrochemical energy storage, seminars on chemistry topics offered by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker - Orstverband Ulm (GDCh) at Ulm University and online can be found on their website.
